BALLET
Origin offers two styles of Classical Ballet Training and Examinations, Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD). Both are internationally recognised and give our pupils a strong foundation in Classical Ballet.

TAP
Origin offers two different styles of Tap, Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD), and the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance (NZAMD) American Tap. Once again both styles give our pupils a strong foundation and technique in tap dance.

HIP HOP
Hip Hop is a style of dance but also a culture and as the culture evolves so does the dancing. Origin offer classes based on examination work developed by the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance (NZAMD).

JAZZ
American Jazz is one of our most popular classes to take and we are so lucky to have a syllabus available to us that has been developed for NZAMD by internationally renowned Dance Master Mr. Keith Clifton.

CONTEMPORARY
ACRO
MUSICAL THEATRE
Origin offers classes in Contemporary dance with a syllabus that was developed by internationally renowned Anne Dewy for the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance (NZAMD).
Acro is the newest addition to our Origin timetable. We offer the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus and these new classes have been hugely popular with our current pupils. Our teachers are fully trained and looking forward to further courses in 2025.
Origin offers the New Zealand Association of Modern Dance Musical Theatre examinations. This Syllabus allows our pupils to take examinations in group settings or individually and gradually learn the fundamentals of theatre craft.
